About this website
SteamValley.com went online in 1999 as the internet presence for marketing and sales of Steam in the Valley, a History of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum 1961-1998, a black and white coffeetable photographic book. Before long the website was also hosting a photo page for TVA's Weekend Academy to showcase photos the participants made using pinhole cameras. Then Unsheltered Voices, a publication for art and writing done by homeless persons found a home at SteamValley, but the host's 10mb limit was soon reached and the site stagnated. Now on a different server, the site spotlights the portfolio and avocational works of John W. Coniglio, of Chattanooga, Tenn. A personal column (now we call them blogs) that began on rowersworld.com will move here until that site is actively posting contributions again. The former site featured activity at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Musuem as well as photos of railroad scenes in the Chattanooga area. Both features will continue as time and resources permit. |
